Inaugurated in 1888 by Emperor Wilhelm II as Hamburg first duty free port, the Speicherstadt Is the largest warehouse district in the world. IT BECAME THE TRADING PLACE FOR Asian spices, tea AND coffee .
Destroyed to 70% during World War II, the district has been rebuilt and is SINCE 2015 a UNESCO World Heritage.
